Budget Message Still Not Received by Aussie Women

Aussie women still aren’t responding positively to the Federal Budget, with one quarter (25%) saying they would change their vote from the last year’s federal election, reveals independent research conducted by The Heat Group, Australia’s largest marketer to women. 
 

Whilst business may recognise the need for tough action and strict budgets to provide a secure future for all Australians, it appears this message has not resonated with Australian mums.

How much do you know about super? If you’re answer is not much, then you’re not alone. In a nutshell, it’s a savings vehicle with a concessionary tax rate that’s designed to grow your money for retirement. 

Why should you care?  According to The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia Limited (ASFA), the average super balance for women in Australia in F10 was $40,475 and for women at retirement stage, the average balance was $112,600.  And more than one third of women have no superannuation.
