heat news - New faces bring rich diversity of talents to the Heat team

The Heat Group has expanded its team to match the growth it’s experiencing with the creation of new in-house positions for e-marketing, PR, IT, Retail services, and the appointment of National Sales Manager. The internal expansion matches Heat’s vision of becoming Australia’s largest cosmetic company.

Please welcome to the Heat team:

Tania Knight – e-Marketing Manager
Tania Knight has been appointed e-Marketing Manager, bringing Heat’s digital communication in house. Tania joins The Heat Group from Blackmores, where Tania was in a similar digital communications role. New to Melbourne, Tania is enjoying the city and happy to have joined the group.

Ann Marie Johnston – PR Manager
Ann Marie Johnston has been appointed Public Relations Manager, bringing all brand PR in house and adding to Heat’s specialist areas within the business.

Ann Marie joins The Heat Group from Marketing Angels, where Ann Marie was a Senior Marketing and Communications Consultant working with a broad variety of clients on their marketing and communications strategy. Ann Marie hails from America and has been living in Australia with her husband (an Aussie) for the past 3 years.

Naomi Sweet – IT Manager
Heat announced it’s second major investment in IT in less than two years, including the appointment of an IT Manager and the rollout of a $500,000 supply chain management tool as part of its efforts to continuously enhance customer service.

Naomi Sweet takes on the newly created role of IT Manager following an 11 year stint at Procter and Gamble and HP.

Naomi’s first project is to deploy and effectively manage the implementation of Heat’s investment in Logility Voyager Solutions™, the supply chain management tool that will allow Heat to strengthen inventory management with improved demand and promotional activity visibility.

Only eighteen months ago, Heat computerized its sales force, equipping 28 sales people with laptops, allowing them to gain access to important information from anywhere in Australia as well as present business plans to their customers. This first phase of the IT strategy was all about improving customer service at the point of contact. The second phase, improves the back end performance and completely challenges traditional sales process.

Anil Patel – Retail Services
Heat has created a new Retail Services department in recognition of the importance of “winning in store” and Anil Patel has been appointed to head the department as Retail Services Manager.

Anil has 4 people reporting to him in this critical role responsible for all merchandising and store presentation across over 4000 distribution points. With the ongoing investment for new stands and striving for in store excellence and innovative promotions, Anil and his team will be responsible for managing budgets of many millions of dollars each year.

Anil’s background in retail services covers a variety of industries with experience in merchandising, planogrammes, return on space, process and strategy. He was previously Regional Retail Manager for Shell responsible for strategic planning and the implementation and management of all promotional/advertising campaigns. Prior to this, Anil was Retail Director of Al Maraya in Dubai and has also spent several years at Michelin where he was instrumental in developing many new franchise stores.

Charles Stevens – National Sales Manager
Charles Stevens has been appointed National Manager, Customer Business Development.

Charles Stevens joins the Heat Group from Ansell Healthcare where he was responsible for all Sales and Business Development in the Asia Pacific Region for over seven years. As a result Charles brings a wealth of sales management and executive experience to the role.

Charles experience extends to other blue chip FMCG companies such as Uncle Toby’s and SC Johnson.
